Possibilities Books & Gifts was founded in 1990 as Possibilities: A New Age Bookstore.  When we first opened in October of that year, in a smaller location on Willow St. in Scranton, we were primarily a bookstore, carrying mainly 12 step recovery, conscious living, and metaphysical books, with a small selection of minerals and crystals, jewelry, music and tarot cards.

We listened to our customers' requests and expanded our space, moving in 1996 to our current location at 231 Pittston Ave.  During this move, we changed our name to Possibilities Books & Gifts, a name that more accurately reflects our expanded inventory, which now includes incense, 12 step recovery gifts, aromatherapy oils and burners, herbs, candles, jewelry, crystals, music, cards, tarot cards, and various other items.

In our new location we were also able to start offering classes and workshops at our Awareness Center.  We host a variety of different workshops, and offer a variety of different classes and sessions for people to attend.  Visit the awareness center's page for more information about any special events going on now and in the future.  We are also proud to have a Tarot Reader and Reiki Master who does readings and sessions at Possibilities.  You can find out more information about Gina and what she has to offer here.
